Welcome to the 2012.2 release of Perforce Chronicle. Once again we are bringing innovation to web content management at the fast pace we promised at the time of Chronicle's previous release. And just as last time, we want to hear about your experiences using Chronicle's latest features, along with your ideas about any new features we should be considering. After all, the idea to create Chronicle was born from hearing our customers' experiences of using our enterprise version management system to build their own web content management solutions. We never get tired of hearing how we can make our customers more successful.
With this release Perforce Chronicle supports a built-in staging and deployment workflow to quickly get the right content, to the right place, at the right time. Your web team will no longer have to rely on error-prone web publishing tools and time-consuming staging and deployment processes. Using Perforce's Enterprise Version Management technology as its foundation, only a click is required to create new staging and development environments with Perforce Chronicle. With this built-in workflow, taking new content live has never been so simple regardless of the number of users or amount and type of content you are managing.
Chronicle gives you the creativity you want and the control you need. It combines an easy-to-use WYSIWYG editor with enterprise-class version management. You can create your own themes and content types, and can extend the product by creating modules and widgets. Chronicle is highly customizable, and we have taken great care to ensure that web developers will be able to do amazing things with it. We look forward to seeing and hearing about your results.
Your feedback is essential in helping us make Chronicle a better product. We will be reviewing your experiences and listening to what you have to say. Your input will directly shape the direction and functionality of Chronicle as we add the features you need and fix the problems you encounter. Please let us know about your insights by submitting them to our Technical Support department.
Because Chronicle is a web application, you can expect rapid continuous improvements being released several times per year. We aim to provide you with enhancements and fixes sooner rather than later. Look for updates to be delivered over the remainder of 2012. Later this year look for user experience and further workflow improvements.
Again, we appreciate your participation as a Perforce Chronicle user.
There are a number of ways for you to get help and guidance. You can contact anyone in our Support department. To chat about Chronicle with Perforce or your fellow customers, you can also use our private Chronicle forum.
